helping a person will not necessarily change the world, but it will change the world for that person.

The Sports Medicine Academy has been active for 5 years. I joined Kathleen High School at the start of the 2014 school year. The program has grown from approximately 45 students to more than 100 students in two years. The growth we needed was dependent on the restructuring of the curriculum and increasing the opportunities the students would have from the time they come in as freshman. Students earn their first certification through ASHI, a CPR PRO/First Aid certification, during their first year in the academy. During their junior year, they begin the journey in becoming a personal trainer through NASM. NASM sponsors the academy in covering the cost of books and the exam for certification. This prestigious certification will allow students career opportunities in the fitness and health industry.

As we grow, we are in need of Board members for guidance and financial support. The difference you can make will effect every student enrolled in the academy as well as our student athletes.
